Senior Meals Driver – Franklin County

Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, has an opening for a part-time Senior Meals Driver in Franklin County, VA. The Senior Meals Driver will deliver meals to participants of the Senior Meals Program while providing friendly interaction, monitoring meal temperatures, distributing menus and program information, and observing participants’ general health and well-being. This position also includes completing required documentation, collecting donations, and responding appropriately to emergencies when necessary.

The qualifications for this position include a High School Diploma, a valid Virginia Driver’s License with a good driving record, strong communication and time-management skills, the ability to work well with senior citizens, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 40–45 lbs. for short intervals and push or pull up to 300 lbs. on a wheeled device. All required background checks must be successfully completed.

Salary range for this position is $13.00 – $14.00 per hour.

(STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, is seeking a full-time Head Start / Early Head Start Education Assistant Manager to support the Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Franklin County, VA. This position supports the HS/EHS Education and ERSEA Manager in overseeing day-to-day educational operations, supervising education staff, monitoring classroom quality, and ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Virginia licensing requirements. Responsibilities include supporting curriculum implementation, conducting classroom observations, assisting with staff orientation and development, maintaining program documentation and data, and collaborating with program leadership to promote continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, experience working with young children, management experience, and strong written and oral communication skills. Applicants must meet health, training, and background requirements.
