On June 4, 2026, we hosted a LIFES Ice Cream Social, bringing together families, participants, and community partners for an afternoon of connection and fun.
Families spent the afternoon sharing ice cream, conversations, and activities in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The event created a simple but meaningful opportunity for people to slow down, enjoy time together, and connect with others in the community.
We were also joined by the Rocky Mount Police Department, whose presence added to the sense of community support throughout the event. Their involvement helped make the afternoon even more meaningful for the families in attendance.
Events like this highlight the importance of creating space for families to come together outside of daily routines. Seeing children and adults laughing, talking, and enjoying the day was a reminder of how valuable these shared experiences are.
