Homeless Services Coordinator

STEP, Inc. has an opening for a Homeless Services Coordinator in Danville. This is a full-time position, housed in Danville, which will provide case management and coordination of community resources to assist households in locating and maintaining stable housing. This person will work with individuals and families who are homeless, living in a shelter, transitioning to permanent housing, in danger of losing permanent housing or facing a housing crisis. Responsibilities include providing case management, to develop and implement appropriate comprehensive individual service plans for clients, ensure all documentation is completed within required timelines. Local travel using personal vehicle is required with gas reimbursement provided. The qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent experience, excellent knowledge of community based organizations and resources, good written and oral communication skills, basic computer skills and the ability to work with individuals from various ethnic and economic backgrounds. Salary range for this position will be $10.00 - $12.00 per hour. Deadline for resumes/applications will be June 22, 2016.

Health Advocate

STEP, Inc., has an opening for a full time Health Advocate. The successful candidate will work to meet the healthcare needs of the Head Start children and their families under the supervision of the Health Services Manager. Qualifications: Previous medical background required, working knowledge of community resources and experience with low income and diverse populations. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Health, or related field and/or CNA is required. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, disability insurance, paid time off and 401k. Salary range for this position will be $9.82 - $12.25 per hour.
